Why this page exists
Language models do not know things. They produce text that is statistically likely given your prompt. Most of the time that lands on the truth, because true statements are common in the training data — but the mechanism has no concept of accuracy, and there is no internal signal that separates a correct answer from a confident invention.
That failure mode has a name: hallucination. It is not a bug we can patch out. It is a property of how the technology works, and it will still be true of the next model generation. We would rather state that plainly at the top of the page than bury it in a clause.
Not professional advice

Factual accuracy
Assume anything factual needs checking. In particular, models are known to:
- Invent citations. Plausible-looking papers, cases, authors and page numbers that do not exist.
- Fabricate quotes and statistics. Attributed to real people who never said them.
- Be out of date. Every model has a training cut-off. Recent events, prices, versions and regulations may be wrong or missing.
- Get arithmetic wrong. Especially multi-step calculations, unit conversions and dates.
- Reproduce bias. Models learn from human text and inherit its biases.
- Contradict themselves. The same question can produce different answers on different runs.
Verify against a primary source before you publish, submit, or act.
You are responsible for what you generate
You own your output, and ownership carries responsibility. Before you use it you should satisfy yourself that it is accurate, that it does not infringe anyone's copyright or trade mark, that it is lawful where you intend to use it, and that it meets any professional or regulatory standard that applies to you.
Where you publish AI-assisted content, disclosing that fact is often the honest thing to do — and in some contexts, including academic and certain regulated ones, it is required.
No warranty
The tools and content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free; that output will be accurate, complete, current, original or fit for your purpose; that defects will be corrected; or that a given tool will continue to exist.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIToolsay accepts no liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the tools or their output. That includes lost profits, lost data, business interruption, and the cost of correcting a decision made on the strength of a generated answer.
